I bought my first pocket watch on February 28, 2025.

What started as a simple purchase quickly turned into an obsession. I became fascinated by the history, craftsmanship, and precision of American railroad pocket watches. Before long, I was spending every spare moment researching movements, studying railroad standards, acquiring specialized tools, and learning the skills required to properly restore these remarkable timepieces.

As my collection grew (50+), so did my passion for restoration. I began disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and bringing neglected watches back to life. Each restoration taught me something new and deepened my appreciation for the watchmakers who built these incredible machines over a century ago.

Today, American Pocket Watch Restoration is dedicated to preserving American horological history. From Hamilton and Ball to Waltham, Elgin, Illinois, and South Bend, every watch that arrives at my bench is treated with the same care, respect, and attention to detail that I give my own collection.

Whether it's a family heirloom that has been sitting in a drawer for decades or a railroad-grade timepiece in need of a complete overhaul, my mission is to preserve these pieces of American history and help ensure they can be enjoyed for generations to come.
